Today, as John and I, free of campground hosting responsibilities, walked around Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, we came upon the Old Homestead Cabin. A walk around the building pointed me directly towards the realization that Fall has arrived and that Winter is on the way.

Our fall color is bursting out all over and snow is just around the corner. That header photo looks a lot like a nearby recreation area in the Jefferson National Forest called Dismal Falls. Great shot!
Yes winter will soon be here and with it the dark nights.
The colors let me feel the sign of the season.
