In The Park

Not so many days ago, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park visitors were splashing around in the river. Today all signs point towards a campfire instead. I love the campground hosting lifestyle.

It is nice to see responsible campers, still looks clean to its nature! Not in our country !!! Sad places with rubbish, paper bags leftover by campers and picnickers.

Levonne, thanks for the kind comments and support. And No, I am a semi-retired consultant/lecturer on Information Systems. Photography is just a hobby I picked up a few months ago and loving it.

Big Sur State Park brings back so many memories. I used to camp there with my folks many years ago. Good times around the campfire.
About your question on my blog. Just keep doing what you're doing!!
Blogging really takes too much time and somethimes I just get tired. Then I start in with renewed energy. Your camp hosting sounds like a wondeful life style.

This looks like a nice and quiet place to camp - with a fine reflection as a bonus :-)

Regarding you question - some pros say that the best way is to look at what the masters do, absorb it, and then be yourself.

Hi Levonne... very nice
As a pro all I can say is we all have a unique style to our compositions... I have had the gift since I was a boy and a gift it is and I never take it for granted. I can compose a photo in a split second and others around me wonder how I see things they don't see when they are standing right next to me... it's like Ansel Adams said...
"In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice."
Just keep on keeping on my friend... you're doing great !
