The Raven and the Sea

Do you know the difference between a raven and a crow? According to Wise Geek, crows account for an entire family of birds, Corvidae, that includes the raven species. That is, all ravens are crows, but crows can be ravens, jays, or magpies. I took this digital photograph of a raven while visiting Nepenthe on Highway 1 in Big Sur (California).

From Nepenthe's deck I shot this foggy view out towards the Pacific Ocean.

I think both shots are not easy, a black feather bird and lighting conditions of the second picture. I like them both !
