27/365 Soft Look

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is: Make a photograph with a soft look today.

This assignment was challenging. I used low light to create soft images. Both of these pictures were taken at the local grocery store while I shopped for the weekly supplies. I am not at all sure I was successful. Yes the first picture looks soft but does it hold any interest? And I really like the second image but is the exposure an acceptable one as to contrast and clarity? What do you think?

The first one is a soft object. The second one is soft light, although it seems the color may be off. I found the website you are using and I took a different interpretation.

Those are nice shots though.

I think the first image is an excellent example of soft, but I would really like to see more to put it into context.

The tulips are beautiful, I can't believe it is almost time for tulips again already.

To answer your question, the first image doesn't hold a lot of interest for me, but the second one does. I think that your exposure is fine on the second one.

Beautiful tulips.

In hindsite, I am ashamed of the first image. It's boringness haunts me and I want to remove it. But I am trying to use it instead as an exercise in patience, love and acceptance of myself. My photos are far from perfect at times and my understanding of the challenge is quite limited at times. This experience is about growth not perfection.
