Tribute to Gabe

“We know that silence equals consent when atrocities are committed against innocent men, women and children. We know that indifference equals complicity when bigotry, hatred and intolerance are allowed to take root. And we know that education and hope are the most effective ways to combat ignorance and despair.” (This quote is contributed to Gabrielle Giffords by some bloggers and Facebook members.)

This fine young man, Gabe Zimmerman was thirty years old (the son of a friend) and was shot and killed yesterday in Tucson, Arizona. He died along with five other victims. He was Gabrielle Giffords' aide. (I did not take this picture.)

I heard about the shooting in the news, it is a tragedy for everyone. The hate some people have is terrible and unbelieveble.
