A Trip Into Monterey (California)

John and I took a trip into Monterey (California) from Big Sur yesterday. A thirty minute drive. The day was mildly foggy. The light was forgiving. I love the blue in this old Karmann Ghia that was parked on Wharf #2.

This Harbour Sea guarded its territory. I watched it fend off at least one other Seal that would have liked that spot.

Wharf #2 in Monterey is a working fishing dock. There is also a marina filled with boats. I'll share more photos of our RV adventure break from being campground hosts tomorrow.

Well I love museums, but I love nature too. That's why I love to look at your adventures.

Nice photos! Your photo of the Kharman Ghia reminds me, at least stylistically, of the great old cars photographed in Havana. The patina of the aged paint, the deeply pigmented hues underneath it all. Very nice!

Love the old car and the sea lion. Do you have Topaz Adjust? I think you would enjoy playing around with it. You can download it and use it for free for a month.

Love the image of that old car ... so much character.
