Daily Shoots 9/365 Metal and 10/365 Red

The Daily Shoot (yesterday): Make a photograph of something metal or metallic today with an emphasis on how light interacts with the surface.

The Daily Shoot: Today's color is red. Make a photograph dominated by the color and post it today.

Yesterday, after shooting a good number of "metal" pictures, I later realized that my aperture dial was on "B". The result was white pictures! I was disappointed of course. So the digital photography lesson yesterday was to pay attention to my camera settings! This morning I took the shot of the metal ring with the sunlight shining on it. I liked the detail of "USA" on it.

This bright red pyracantha plant really grabbed my attention as John and I walked Gingee through the park over in Monterey. And I later learned that "red" is today's daily shoot challenge. I would like to have shot this more clearly. Maybe I would have needed to use my tripod.

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Love the way light plays on the metal circle. Sunlight and Shadows!

Good choice for Red! The Berries seem to Jump off the picture. Quynh Le from Shutterbugs is always on us for not using a Tripod. His pics prove his point.
